Merci! Merci! I love it too! Sam, unfortunately, I wont be in Ghana this year. But I’m planning a launch for early next year. And the book will still be available in bookstores – Silverbird and Kingdom in December.

I like :D I’m gonna share just for the sake of seeing how many people will think its a new Ghanaian movie lol.

msod, since you’re a yankey native, your easiest bet is to order it online through Amazon, barnes and noble or borders. You can also get it at the Silverbird bookstore in Accra in December.
Leroy, very funny. Who knows, maybe we’ll make it into a movie in a couple of years. If you wanna share it, the best way is through youtube or copy the url from the end of the video here and then share it.

Hey just caught your post on writer’s digest and since your name sounded Ghanaian I decide to check it out…this is the first time I’m hearing of a book trailer. What a concept. I liked the soundtrack the most. :D

    02/11/2009

Congratulations, Mary! You did it! But why do the natives have to wait for december? Got itchy feet…

  15. boakyewaa
    02/11/2009

Vhishious, nice to meet ya! I’m assuming you’re Ghanaian? The writers’ digest community has changed so much, but I like the new style. Lets link up sometime.
AfiaB, this ‘Mary’ thing, whats up with that huh? Anyways, December is for everyone, international and Ghana. The only thing is with international peeps, its a little more instant since they can order online. But for Ghana, it should be in the bookstores (Silverbird) by first or second week in December at the latest. You best get a copy!

  16. afiaB
    02/11/2009

U bet I would! U’re so unMary, well can’t explain why here, can I?

  17. 02/11/2009

Amazing. I’ve watched the trailer 5x already! I’m so excited for you. Great job! I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited to read a book! It makes me think of days at RCS when we used to wait for our turn to read the next Sweet Valley High book, but this is so much better because I can own my own copy! Congratulations!

    Nice one there B….

  20. 02/11/2009

Wow, this is so cool, and wonderful. Me too, first time seeing a book trailer, I love the concept and the vid is just elegant! Well done and congrats!

EAK, I swear, when Eric sent the final version, I hooked my laptop up to my TV/home entertainment and watched it over and over with the volume high. I know its my own video, but honestly, I think its really simple, crisp, and still impactful.
And Eric’s soundtrack rocks. Especially, around 40 seconds or so, when the music is low key, begins to trail off and then the nice dramatic finish. Did you guys hear the breathing right at the end? Almost like someone who’s been running around in circles, lololol. I thought that was cool.
    I’m excited!!

  22. boakyewaa
    02/11/2009

Leroy, you’ll love this. I’ve asked Eric to do a video for TENDAI. My brother’s gonna do an e-book with TENDAI and i figured a video for that book would seriously rock.

  23. Susan
    02/11/2009

I will pass on to all my friends. I’m about to. Actually B, are you planning to have a book launch in the U.S. I would definitely do one here and then do a “coming soon” for Tendai. Chale….call me!

  24. Pascal

Good work B… Nice to see everything shaping up!

I’m going to make sure UG and UCC add Rabbie to their reading list for all English students. Some contemporary literature would do them good. Relax, No photocopies allowed!!! Lol!

    Circles, I meant.

    04/11/2009

What a shame that there’s no “like” option on this forum, because I would click that a hundred times! I am sooo looking forward to its release and I am hoping it would be sometime before Christmas. That should take care of at least 6 people on my Christmas list ;-) . Infact, I think I’m going to add amazon.com to my favorites bar right now :-) . Good job B!!!

  28. Boakyewaa
    04/11/2009

Frankie, are you teasing me? Will you really buy 6? lololol.

By the way, I’m really excited that CIRCLES is a feature video on bookscreening.com. Bookscreening was actually my first exposure to book trailers, so imagine, months down the line, my own video is on there! I’m loving it, seriously.

wooooooooow….i had goosebumps!!! can’t wait for december!!!

  30. togbui
    05/11/2009

ZIs is going to be da best x’mas ever. B, why are u so surprised Frankie would buy 6 copies? I hope it’s affordable enough for me to buy one for each of my three wives and our 27 children. And how true is it that Rabbie is 70% u?

  31. Boakyewaa
    05/11/2009

Togbui, 27 kids! Since you’re maintaining 3 wives, you must be rich enough to afford 30 copies.
Anyhoo, Rabbie being me is a rumor. She’s 70% a lot of people I know. Those who’ve read it say they relate to her on different levels, even the guys who’ve read it. I mean, its about someone who makes the same mistakes over and over again. Who doesn’t do that? You don’t even have to look too close to see a common thread through most of our choices, from the people we date to the clothes we wear. People are just creatures of habit. We like familiarity. Rabbie represents all of that.

    05/11/2009

Aie, Ms B! I’m late but still had to comment. Congratulations girl!!! You are such an inspiration. I will be rushing to Silverbird to grab copies when it hits. Ayekooo!!!

You should be recognised as the first Ghanaian to have a ‘trailer’ for a book. Very good. And I hope the book brings even greater recognition to your talent.

Warren and Wilfork are not surprises; Maroney appeared on the injury report Friday with a knee injury, but he was listed as probable and that he practiced fully. That was Bodden’s status as well.
